Watched
The Dodgers struck first with a Tommy Edman solo homer but that was about it for them! Schwarber gets it started with a solo shot and Philly scored 2 more in that inning and that gave them a lead they wouldn’t give up! They went on to score 5 more runs (including another Schwarbomb) and even with a late rally by the Dodgers, this series goes to game 4!

I am very happy this series isn’t ending in a sweep but I do wish that this game had been closer. It initially seemed like Tommy Edman was going to break another team’s dreams, but the Phillies hitters, specifically the Phillies stars finally woke up from their cryogenic sleep and went back to their elite hitting. Schwarber got the party started and punctuated the game in the 8th with a 2nd bomb. Despite Tommy Edman trying to be the Phillies’ grim reaper, he couldn’t do it alone. If the Phillies keep getting the pitching and their hitting keeps up this form, this series can get to game 5.
