The Phillies needed their pitchers and bats to remain awake and raking to send this series to a game 5. They got the pitching they needed, they didn’t get the hitting. Cristopher Sanchez came in and gave them 6 great innings. Even when he began to falter, Duran came in and did about as well as he could with 2 men on base and intentionally walking Ohtani. The Dodgers matched them in-turn with the rare long Glasnow start and their bullpen. Then extras came and they were tense. Lots of close calls and long at-bats. Eventually, the winning RBI came from the person everyone expected, Andy Pages, on an error from a Phillies reliever. Big yikes. Jokes aside, neither team’s bats could do much and this, once again, became a bullpen game. The Dodgers bullpen proved to be better both in this game and throughout this series. Have the Phillies missed their window, was 2022 and 2023 their shot?

this was a pitchers duel affair with only 3 hits combined from both teams heading to the 6th inning! then the dodgers stranded runners in the corners in the 6th and in the seventh the phillies struck first but the phillies also walked in a run to tie it. after that they headed to extras where it ended up being 11 innings long!! resulting in a dodgers win because the phillies made 2 out error by a grounder to the pitcher!
