"Oh, they're in the bottom of the tenth. Let me throw it on real quick to see the last few ABs." - me two hours before it ended
Easily one of the most intense games of baseball I've ever seen and EASILY the most intense game of baseball I've ever seen as a neutral for both teams. Yeah, there's the legendary Game 3 of the 2018 World Series, but this was Winner Takes All, man!
I was kinda rooting for the Tigers (mostly for friends who love the Tigers), but even if we ignore that and call me a True Neutral here, I was on the edge of my seat. Incredibly fun even if I'm now incredibly tired.

I said multiple times in the RateGame chat that I was expecting a great Skubal start. While I nailed that prediction, I could not possibly anticipate an extra innings classic. AND OF COURSE I WAS IN A PLANE FOR A CHUNK OF IT. That aside, this was an amazing way to end this series. This game became a pitching duel that turned into a bullpen battle and then a pitching staff WAR. If you love tense and dramatic baseball, you’re not getting much better than this. Both the Tigers and Mariners had chance after chance AFTER CHANCE in extras, but only one team could win. Jorge Polanco was the hero as the Mariners overcome Skubal, Carpenter and the Tigers.

Highlights
I went to bed at 1am, slept a solid 6 hours and only missed the end of this game by about 40 minutes. Instant classic. it looks like they had a 2nd salmon run the game was so long. One of my saddest “highlights” tags ever I can’t believe I missed this. So happy for Seattle, 24 years in the making but now the ALCS awaits!
