Miserowski was throwing about as hard as I’ve ever seen for multiple innings in a row. Insaine.

Suzuki gets the scoring started with a 3 run bomb in the first, but it would turn out that this was the only mistake for Milwaukee! Vaughn would get a 3 run homer in the bottom of the first to tie it up, Contreras would get a solo homer to break the tie, and Chourio would get another three run home run to bury the Cubs! Brewers go up 2-0!

An exhilarating start to this game. The Cubs and Brewers each with a 3-run homer is one hell of a way to kick this off. Both teams remained threatening in the 2nd, but when the William Contreras hit the first postseason home run of his career, the Brewers took over. They kept the Cubs silent in the proceeding innings while Jackson Chourio supplied some insurance runs. Even after the hamstring tightness in game 1, dude is still raking. While both starters didn’t have a great night, the Brewers bullpen made the difference, especially Jacob Misiorowski. Say what you want about his all star appearance, nobody can deny he has nasty stuff. Brewers take a commanding lead and set themselves up to go back to the NLCS for the first time since 2018 and just the 3rd time ever.
