Obviously the one moment of this game will be the thing that’s talked about, but there was actually a lot happening this game, the two insane double plays, the constant hit barrage and danger from the blue jays, woo coming in for his first appearance
But obviously geno and cal take the cake, what a fucking time to decide to hit two home runs in a game

For the first time ever, the Mariners are 1 win away from a World Series appearance. What a nail-biter. The Jays got another great start, this time from Gausman, who performed even better than he did in game 1 while getting double the run support. The Mariners needed a good outing from their starter and preferably a deep one. They got part of that from Bryce Miller, but once again, the Mariners pulled their starter early. Didn’t even let him get to 60 pitches. It was a decision I questioned in the moment and those questions grew as the Jays took the lead after getting so close multiple times. If not for the good pitching from Brash and Woo, the Jays probably run away with this game just like they did last night; by that logic, the pitching change made sense. That change was vindicated thanks to a grand salami from Eugenio Suarez that would’ve made Dave Niehaus proud. Suarez drove in almost every run as he helps Seattle get 1 win away. I hope George Springer is okay.

The Mariners scored first again with an early homer, this time being from Suarez, and it looked like Toronto would be pulling away again when they loaded the bases with no outs in the 4th, but they end up with a nobletiger! They do end up scoring in the 5th and taking the lead in the 6th, but Raleigh ties it up with a bomb in the 8th and Geno hits his 2nd homer of the day for a grand slam to put Seattle up by 4! The Mariners go up 3-2!
