I was really hoping for more from this series. But let’s focus on the positives. The Dodgers deserve the sweep and one man was DETERMINED to make sure the Brewers’ season ended tonight. Shohei Ohtani reminded us all how he is still THE unicorn in sports. Ohtani became just the 12th player to hit 3 homers in a postseason game and the 20th pitcher to throw 10 Ks in an NLCS game. I’m sure you can guess that Ohtani is the first ever to do both in the SAME GAME. Insane. He basically single handedly made this game worth watching as the Brewers continued floundering at the plate until Ohtani was taken out. Despite my disappointment in the Brewers and this series as a whole, it would be a disservice to not appreciate pure greatness. On that topic of disappointment, the Brewers have plenty of questions to ask. Their lineup failed them again. Is it the players, hitting coach or both?
