The one thing the Jays couldn’t afford is their bats being silenced. Fortunately, that didn’t happen. Snell, while great, wasn’t as dominant as he had been. Varsho changed everything with his homer off of Snell, taking the Mad Bum shine right off of him. But most importantly, the Jays CRUSHED the Dodgers’ bullpen. What a statement as the Jays overwhelm the Dodgers. The bottom of the lineup for Toronto really came through, not only Varsho with the homer, but Clement and Gimenez both get an RBI and Kirk goes 3 for 3 with a homer and 2 RBIs. Can’t forget Barger hitting the first World Series grand slam in Jays history. Great win and a tense game most of the way, but it became a formality after the Jays went up 9 runs in the 6th. Can they do the same to Yamamoto?
