It’s now a best of 3 thanks to a pitching duel turned battle of the 7-8-9 hitters. After a legendary extra innings game, how on Earth did this series follow it up? Well, the Blue Jays got an excellent outing from Shane Bieber while Ohtani continued to show off his unicorn traits with his own pitching. He only got hit hard by Vladdy who hit a homer on him. Once Ohtani was off the mound, the Jays feasted on the Dodgers bullpen, making up for their inability to get anything going in all those extra innings last night. Even though the Jays got important contributions from the bottom of their lineup and a crucial rally in the 7th, it couldn’t be that easy. The bottom of the 9th had me sweating for a second after Muncy’s double, fortunately for those rooting for the Jays and/or against the Dodgers, Varland managed to brush those early mistakes off and close it out.

The Dodgers got it going early with a Kike sac-fly, but that would be all for them! The Blue Jays pitching would lock it down from there and the offense got the lead with a Guerrero 2-run bomb and got a 4 run rally in the 7th for insurance! The Blue Jays tie it up 2-2 and we’ve got ourselves a series!
