It will all come down to game 7. First the NBA finals and now the World Series, nothing better. The Dodgers needed Yamamoto to have another elite start to keep their championship expectations (feels wrong to call it hopes) alive. Yamamoto gave them what they needed, 7 innings of 1 run ball. However, they got some extra help from a surprisingly unexpected source. After game 5, Mookie Betts was very open about his performance in the World Series. Even saying he had been “terrible”. Luckily for him and the Dodgers, he earned some redemption tonight as he drove in 2 runs, got on base half the time and made a crucial catch in foul territory to help stop a Jays rally in the 8th inning. All that was needed as the Dodgers bullpen, while effective looked shaky, especially Roki. But it came down to the Tyler Glasnow, who efficiently got the job done with the help of some clutch Enrique Hernandez defense. Albeit in a bit of an anti-climactic way. Maybe it was just the broadcast I was watching.

Blue Jays threatened to tie in the 9th with second and third and none out. However, Ernie Clement swung at a high first pitch fastball and popped up, not helping the case whatsoever. Then Andres Giménez had a good swing hitting the ball the other way on a line that hung up for Kike Hernandez, who was playing short, who made the catch and doubled Addison Barger off second as he had leaned too far off second. We have game 7 tomorrow and baseball leaks into November.
