Another solid 6.1 innings and 10 strikeouts tonight. 6 came on the splitter too which ties a career high. He had a long leash too and partly due to him not having many high stress pitches for the first 5 innings. He commanded the zone and executed well. If he can keep pitching close to this level all of a sudden it sparks a little hope for the season. Buxton continued to hit the ball hard too. Just finding the glove right now but it’s a good sign he’s getting deep into counts and then making hard contact. Ryan Jeffers is an underrated part of the game as he obviously drove in 2 runs on a double, but his challenges he used were pivotal and on point. He might be the best in the MLB at doing it and it shows. A very underrated part of his game. ”
