Phillies Continue Road Series Woes vs Giants

With today’s loss, the Phillies have left Oracle Park without a series win for the 12th year in a row (11 lost, 1 split). This marks the Phillies’ longest road series winless streak in over 75 years. The last time the Phillies had a longer road series winless streak, it was against the New York Giants, playing 20 road series without winning any of them (17 lost, 3 split) between June 1944 and August 1949. It’s fitting that when the club relocated to San Francisco, they’d find a way to bring some historical dominance with them. The Giants have handed the Phillies 722 road losses over their long histories, the most any opponent has handed Philadelphia.
