The Red Sox debuted their new Green Monster themed city connect jerseys early in the season last year. They were loved by fans and it quickly caught on as a tradition to wear them for every Friday home game. Before this game, they won 8 times in those green jerseys, and every single one was a walkoff victory. This game, they finally managed a less stressful victory, winning 2-0 without a walkoff.
