Starting with the positives, Rocker had a solid outing (didn’t like the walks tho), but the bullpen bit us in the ass once again and the Diamondbacks closed the gap, but couldn’t tie it up until we did the dumbest thing. We put in Jacob Latz. Why are we like this? I know Latz has been elite so far, but the guy LITERALLY PITCHED YESTERDAY. Can we not tank his stats and our chances in one fell swoop please? Well, they did one of those things as Latz couldn’t get an out before we had to pull him, but by then, it was too late and Arizona took a 2-run lead. It was looking bleak. Thankfully we harnessed some of that 2023 magic (and took advantage of Arizona’s own bullpen blunders) to get a rally going and win it with a walk off from Danny Jansen of all people. What a way to get your first walk off win of the season. Jake Burger looked like the guy I saw at the start of the season in this game, would love more plz. ”
