Valdez crushed a two run shot in the bottom of the first to put us up by 5 (is this the pirates I’m talking about or..?) and then in the top of the second he throws a guy out at 3rd with Nick Gonzalez delivering one of the most aggressive tags I’ve ever seen but deserved cuz fuck the cubs. Nothing at all relevant happened until the 5th when the cubs hit a single to protect their ego but Ashcraft got us out of that with no issues. After that it was kinda boring except for a few runs by the pirates in the 8th. 2 in a row over the cubs? One more and we sweep and go above them in the Central? Too good to be true. We’re gonna lose by 10 tomorrow
