What a pitching performance from the Rays. Drew Rasmussen goes 7 shutout innings allowing only 1 hit and Red Sox legend Cam Booser gets a hitless inning before handing it off to Cole Sulser to finish off the shutout.
On the hitting end for Tampa Bay, a home run for Cedric Mullins is promising to see. He's been atrocious at the plate this year so anything good from him will make Rays fans happy. To be fair though, the only reason he's in the major leagues is because of that glove- although that glove hasn't been all that impressive. Only 3 OAA so far, his fielding metrics aren't all that great. With Jacob Melton-another lefty/lefty outfielder as the Rays #4 prospect waiting in the wings in Triple-A, do we see a switch coming soon for Tampa? Obviously you don't want to mess with success, and they have been very successful this year, but I certainly think its worth seriously considering the move to Melton as their starting center fielder.
