After a nearly 2 hour rain delay. Buxton got the game started with a bang and a blast to left center on the first pitch Melton threw him. He tried sneaking a first pitch fastball for a strike and Buxton was hunting it and crushed it. He’s unreal and as a lead off hitter in his career has now hit 26 homeruns to open a game. The game felt like a homerun derby. Taj was leaving hanging breaking balls left and right as Dingler and Greene both took him deep. Josh Bell hit his 200th career homerun. Brooks Lee and Kody Clemens went back to back at one point. Dingler got his second homerun of the game in the later innings as the Tigers pulled away with the game.

They let the Tigers get hot. They finish this series off and win the series in Cleveland…I’m gonna act up.
TTTTTTTIIIIGERS WIN!
Start with the negative. Melton was struggling tonight, location was off, tossing up some meatballs. One caveat, the entire league would have done the same thing. The baseball was FLYING tonight. 4 for the Twins, 4 for the Tigers(?). Just unreal stuff. I believe in Melton and not worried. Tough to toss the rock when a storm delays the game and makes it 100000% humidity.
The biggest story of the game is the best player at his position. Ding is a superstar guys. 2 homers today and 4/5 from the dish. Playing elite defense and hitting tanks isn’t common for an elite position, but this guy makes it look easy. He’s the Tigers best player and he’s locked up till 2030. MVP case is stacking up for him, some work to do but MAN he’s great.
They let the Tigers get hot man. LFG
