it was a early barrage from the blue jays with a clase 3 run home run to start. spencer miles continues to shine, an the jays get the rest of there runs from base hits. and sean keys almost gets a splah hit. i hope this jump starts the boys into a wild card race, i know thats to optimistic but you can't predict baseball

After the worst three-game stretch in recent memory, a slightly-different version of the Jays came back ready for a fight. Jonatan Clase, Sean Keys, and Brandon Valenzuela showed the Giants how we do things back in Buffalo while Ernie Clement decided if no one else wanted any hits that he was going to take them all. The good bullpen game quirk continues somehow as well.
Change was the name of the game, and it worked. I hope Schneider will continue toying with things to figure out how to consistently get these kinds of performances out of his guys. Some thoughts:
* Valenzuela and Kirk should have equal time behind the plate going forward
* Keep Ernie as lead-off
* If they want Springer in the lineup, he may need to do some games in the outfield so we can keep someone like Keys at DH
* If Vladdy doesn't show improvement after the All-Star Break, I'm not opposed to an IL stint
