Great win for the Sox from some early offense. Tsung-Che Cheng has looked great since he got called up, a couple of RBI singles in this one, and Caleb Durbin was hitting in this one. That's now 5 straight wins. We had 10 straight before the All-Star break last year, and this team is looking to do it again this year.
On the pithcing end, great game from William Jacob Bennett. 7 shutout innings. The way he's pitching it's looking like Garrett Crochet isn't even hurt. I loved Luis Perales and originally hated trading him for Bennett, but he has proven me wrong for sure. Weissert and Opener finish the game off and the Sox assert dominance as the real Sox by winning the series on the road. Potential sweep tomorrow.

This game shows exactly why Jake Bennett is my favourite pitcher. He gets the batsmen out cleanly and efficiently, while limiting base runners. Tsung che Chang is a big upgrade over Marcelo Mayer, even though I’ve known marcelo for two years, and known tsung for two weeks. I was a little worried when we put weissert in, but he held the lead.
I was at the game, and I feel like the stadium had no personality, no energy, and no passion (Besides the Red Sox fans, we were very passionate!). The only positive I took away from that stadium was their lemonade was good. For a team that is first in their division, I expected better fight from them even without murikami.
Overall, the team is going in the right direction, even without Anthony and crochet. I still am a firm believer that this team will end up over .500.

It's time to invest fully in the Red Sox again because they are just playing fun baseball now. Jake Bennett has been fantastic; cold as ice and crafty enough to fool hitters. He will be massive moving forward if he can keep it up.
On the offensive side, pretty much everyone contributed, if not through rbis and productive outs then simply through running up Chicago's pitch count with long at-bats. Cheng got some key hits, Narvaez had a successful sac bunt and even a knock. It sucks that Seigler and Contreras both had such disastrous accidents in the same plate appearance, but hopefully it's something that will heal quickly (not entirely hopeful, but still trying to have faith). Either way, the team seems to continue improving even as the roster drops like flies. Keep it rolling.
