Damn Nationals, I knew your bullpen was bad, but this was BAD. Blew a save by allowing home runs to Jazz Chisholm and Austin Wells, and then earlier in the game allowed a home run to jASSon Dominguez. They have one of the best offenses in the league, and yet they might not make the playoffs. A historically bad pitching staff compared to their offense. Honestly, I think they should go big time in trading for pitchers at the deadline. But trade for guys with an extra year or two of control. They are damn near ready to compete for a World Series, and they have the prospect capital to get in those big trade discussions. This offseason, go all in on Skubal, and even if you can't get him, sign a couple great pitchers. I would love for the Sox to trade Aroldis Chapman at this deadline, and the Nationals could be a great suitor for him with Chapman having 2 and a half years of control.
