THIRTEEN IN A ROW!!! Watched this on my phone on my way up to Boston. Yet again we fell behind early thanks to an inside the park home run caused by a couple fielding mistakes, but aftewards it was all Sox. Andruw Monasterio tied it up then some more fielding mishaps by Tampa Bay allowed the Sox to make it a 4-1 lead. Willson Contreras yet agaim came up big with a game-sealing 2-run home run.
On the pitchint aspect, the abnormal 8 days of rest didn’t affect Sonny Gray. It really should’ve been 4 days of rest, one of the biggest All-Star snubs.Aside from the inside the park homer, Gray was dominant. And a very rare occurance, we had a stress-free finish with Weissert, Moran, and Watson to finish the game off.

THATS THIRTEEN IN A ROW AND 18/20 WINS FOR THE SOX! After that inside the park homerun (First time I’ve seen one of those In a while) and some early jams, it was smooth sailing for Sonny. The offense scored runs from a variety of ways. This was especially prevalent in our 3 run third inning, where we scored on a pass ball, a throw that hit the runner, and a ground out. Runs are runs, I don’t care how they are scored. Also 🚾 4️⃣ 0️⃣ with another homerun gave us some extra run cushion for a mix of relievers to hold it down and secure the win.

That inside-the-parker would've been the death knell only a month ago, but when the Sox took the lead it became practically lackadaisical. The Rays have been properly bullied and the reflection in the side-mirror must seem mighty close right about now.
Best win-streak since the '40s. Let's move.
