A prime example of a game that is made so much better by attending it thanks to the vibe. The Tigers started off strong when Keith cracked a hit into the right-centrefield gap and kept piling on after that. They scored a run in every single inning they played in, much to my joy. Each time they scored a run was another chance to celebrate with a bunch of Tigers fans. It’s what sports are all about, having a good time and I had a great time. I imagine the Orioles and their fans had the opposite. None had a worse day than Kremer, he got creamed. It took longer than it should’ve, but he was mercifully pulled in the 6th. Melton was masterful when it came to damage control through 3 innings and then started shutting them down completely after that. Only Jackson Holiday could get anything substantial. Meanwhile, Eduardo Valencia had the best game of his career (so far). 4 hits and 2 home runs. Not bad for a 26-year-old rookie. Detroit hit on all cylinders and this rating is based on the vibe.

From an objective standpoint, not a good game. But obviously I loved it. Literally everything went right for the Tigers offensively and Melton was essentially perfect on the mound. Very much looking forward to him developing into this team’s ace going forward. Though the writing may be on the wall as far as being sellers at the deadline (with Scott Harris at the helm who knows), the AL is so bad that even if/when they sell, the team may be able to stay competitive down the stretch.

We massacred the O's and now we're back to 2.5 games out of 3rd place with 4 days til the trade deadline, this is what is so frustrating about the Al Central and having to make trade decisions. The starting lineup the tigers put out in this game is what I like, I think we should play it 80% of the time, obviously some days will be different and Dingler should catch some days while Valencia is DH, Z-mac and Keith could rotate at 3rd, Javy (nice return btw) could play aware except 1st and C, and you put Kerry back in right when he's back but what we put out tonight shows we should put out a lineup like that or similar with the changes I said more often
