Braxton Ashcraft pitched a complete game. His only blemish was a solo homer by Owen Caissie in the ninth. The Marlins had two hits and a walk, but all of those baserunners had been cleaned off the bases to allow him to pitch to the minimum amount of batters until the ninth. The Pirates offense provided for him and delivered a much needed win.

This game was pretty bad as the Pirates made this one super uncompetitive, but Braxton Ashcraft was unbelievably today! He pitched a complete game almost shutout where he almost faced the minimum on 85 pitches! Owen Cassie made his only blemish as he would hit a huge homer to cut the lead to 42 in the ninth to break the shutout bid. Just an unreal game from Ashcraft!
