Reid Detmers is FINALLY able to win a game at Angel Stadium! This was his first home win in two years, and it was on KISS night! It was fun to see Wayne and Gubie in KISS masks, but it was even better to see Detmers put on a clinic! He cruised through eight scoreless innings while only giving up two hits and getting eleven strikeouts on just 91 pitches! The only problem was, the Angels were doing terrible on offense. They couldn’t get anything going until the eighth inning where they finally broke through! Nolan Schanuel would show some SchanuWOW on a ripped base hit off the glove of Caglianone to knock in the go ahead run! Ben Joyce would come in the ninth and shut down the Royals in a 1-2-3 inning! He also bumped it up to 104.5 which is tied for the third fastest pitch in MLB this year as he secured the win for Detmers! Dominant win for the Halos! They need to finish the season 14-24
