The White Sox get another big win and take the series over the Tigers! This was a fun back and forth game! Chicago would take a first inning lead that was immediately erased by a Detroit rally in the bottom half to tie it! The White Sox wouldn’t have to wait long though before they got that lead back because Colson Montgomery got two across on a third inning double! The Tigers had one more comeback in them with an Eduardo Valencia homer in the fourth and a Gleyber Torres double in the fifth to knot this game back up! Thankfully for the Sox, Andrew Benintendi gave them a lead they wouldn’t give up as they improve their amazing record against the AL Central!

A playoff atmosphere between 2 rivals. The White Sox felt in control this entire game despite how close it was. Early lead against the new Tigers ace, huge performance from Anthony Kay (where would this team be without the offseason acquisitions?)
Tigers still have a dog in this race, but it went from a Doberman to a Pinscher in a heartbeat.
