The Tigers looked like they had this game in the bag, but Kenley Jansen crumbled! The Pirates did take the first lead tonight on an Oneil Cruz single, and that was followed by some pretty quick runs for Detroit! Kevin McGonigle tied it on a sacrifice fly, and a rally in the third gave the Tigers some insurance! Unfortunately for them, the Buccos found an answer! Rafael Flores Jr. hit a pinch hit homer to make this a one run game which he followed up with a ninth inning bomb he pulled on a crazy outside pitch to tie this game! Jansen still almost got this game to extras, but Brandon Lowe was having none of that as he hit one off the foul pole to end this game! Raise the Jolly Roger, the Pirates win a fun one!
