Ain’t no way Tommy Pham just exposed that Dane Myers was trying to pad his defensive stats by trying to catch what was clearly a ball for the Center Fielder?? Direct quote from the Phamster on X when a fan asked “What’s going on here??” To a pic that shows how far Dane Myer had to run from left field to make a play for it:
“What’s going on is we have cf’s today who know the value of stealing catches to help their ooa numbers go up bcuz it improves your war so you have this, a game that is lost bcuz the cf didn’t want the lf to catch the ball bcuz he wanted the points”
If that’s true that’s one of the weirdest things ever I had no idea guys were stats padding in the outfield lol
