Good night for DeGrom getting to 2k strikeouts and striking out 8 more while he was at it.
He did most of the heavy lifting tonight because it is just dreadful watching this team every night knowing that we won't get any runs when people get on base. Do they just forget how to hit???
It was nice to see Clayton Beeter out there though, he graduated from my HS so that's cool to see!

This Jacob DeGrom guy seems good at throwing the baseball. Yeah, most of our lineup was terrible; I don’t care (for now). DeGrom was absolutely dealing, and he achieved a career milestone while helping Texas get a vital win. DeGrom becomes the 2nd fastest in terms of both appearances and innings pitched to reach 2000 strikeouts in all of MLB history. Personally, I think he'll make it to Cooperstown, and he had a Hall of Fame-calibre performance in this game. He got the milestone out of the way immediately, striking out the first 2 batters and then proceeded to strike out 8 more batters while only allowing 2 base runners in 6 innings. Only 3 Rangers batters did anything valuable. Seager continued his in-season comeback with a home run and a double; Duran continued his shockingly good season with a triple, and Foscue went 2-for-2 at the plate. Really need more guys to contribute, but when DeGrom has alien performances like the one he had in this game, it's enough... for now.
