The all-hyped Chris Sale vs Jacob Misiorowski matchup did not let us down. 6 shutout innings from Jacob Misiorowski before Antonio Senzatela lost the shutout in the 8th inning. Trevor Megill was still able to hold on for the save. On Chris Sale's end, he had 5 great innings, but 1 of his 6 total wasn't very good, allowing two in the third inning, the two that would lose Atlanta the game.

Crazy good pitcher’s duel, but only one team can win. The Brewers are good, especially their defence, both pitching and fielding. Misiorowski goes out and casually throws 6 shutout innings, and people are going to call this a bad performance by his standards and rightfully so. A performance most pitchers would consider the best of their season, we consider mediocre by Miz's standards. That's how good he's been. Meanwhile, Chris Sale, who has been fantastic this season, had a great game with 6 innings of 2-run ball and no walks allowed in a loss. Yet he's likely going to go into the locker room and immediately understand why it happened without any anger. The power of Miz man. Baseball gods, please don't let his UCL explode. Beyond the great pitching, the Brewers also showed some awesome defence. Most notably, Lara had multiple highlight catches, with one of them even making Miz smile wide. When Miz was finally pulled, the Braves came close to tying it up, only for Ronald to strike out.
