Yet another great Parker Messick start nets us our 5th straight win and brings his ERA down to 2.50. Hedges, Adell, and Lowe led the offense. The we’re back levels are climbing higher and higher. Now 6-1 on the 12 game easy stretch where I asked for 9-3 or better.

This was a pretty uneventful loss for the Angels, but I really enjoyed seeing Jo Adell back in Anaheim. He was the first player I really connected with since Trout. My dad also loved Adell, and he said that he feels the same way about following the Guardians now as he did when the Dodgers let his favorite player, Steve Garvey, go to San Diego (my dad was a weird Dodgers/Angels fan because he went to Dodgers games with his grandpa and Angels games with his dad). Of course Adell ended up with an RBI hit tonight to go along with a walk, even though he ended up causing an out after he was picked off. The Angels had a hard time getting anything going on Parker Messick, and they still didn’t do much after he left. Austin Hedges hit a two run shot in this game to give Cleveland plenty of insurance as the Halos can’t even really threaten to close out this game. The Angels need to finish the season 11-19
