This duo of Drew Rasmussen and Nick Martinez really wants to make me believe in the Rays in the playoffs but I'm just so hesitant. Having good pitchers in the playoffs is so valuable and these guys are so good every start but the hitting just doesn't have the depth and the Rays have cosistently shown they aren't a playoff team in real playoff environments. I really want to pick the Rays in the American League to win it but I just can't find myself doing it. Honestly I just have no idea who wins the American League, and being completely honest and unbiased I do think I have to back my Sox.

The season may be over, but it was at least an entertaining game. McGonigle did his thing, I got to scream at Valdez for being awful, Tork had some elite defensive plays, Dingler had a run saving play at the plate, and even Javy let the bat work a bit. Rasmussen was legit, Diaz got a clutch hit or two, and Arabda had a bomb of a homer. Fun game!
