The Diamondbacks take a very important series with a pretty fun win! This started as a great pitchers duel with Matthew Boyd giving up only one run through six innings while only giving up three hits, but Eduardo Rodriguez was even better! He made it through seven shutout innings while only giving up two hits and getting nine strikeouts! That one run Boyd gave up was an oppo taco to Jordan Lawlar, and it was enough to give him the loss! The Diamondbacks did add on one more on a weird sacrifice fly double play, but it would be unnecessary as the Cubs couldn’t find a single run! Great win for Arizona!
