Pitchers duel at its finest. Chris Sale threw a complete game shutout over the World Series favorite. They had no answers on offense. Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s only blemish was a leadoff homer to Drake Baldwin, which was enough run support for Sale’s incredible performance. This Dodgers team just doesn’t seem like they’re going to win the World Series again with how often they have had offensive struggles.

What a pitchers duel! You just looked at the matchup, and you knew this would be great! Drake Baldwin led off the game with a homer, and that was all! Yamamoto was able to recover very nicely ending with 6.1 innings with only that one run allowed, but Chris Sale was pitching out of his mind! He tossed a complete game shutout that looked like it had ended on a great scoop from Matt Olsen, but he was ruled to have come off th bag and rhe ruling stood! Sale was able to bounce right back though as he got a three pitch strikeout to end it! The Braves sweep the Dodgers, and this is the first Braves win solely on a leadoff home run since Spetember 2nd of 1889 against the Indiana Hoosiers!
