"Nobody Saw it Coming" real ball knowers like me saw it coming. Landen Roupp's been a great pitcher this year, it was a very favorable pitching matchup for San Francisco and with an opportunity to get up 2 against Landon in the pick em challenge (while risking falling back to tied) I decided to take it. And Landen Roupp proved me right. 5 innings of great 1 run ball and finally after he came out the offense stepped up in the 8th inning to take a surprise win. Games like this, the Diamondbacks cannot drop playing in this National League. With how tight the Wild Card race is when you get to play teams like the Giants you need to sweep them.

This was definitely a letdown game for the Diamondbacks. They were coming off of two emotional comeback wins, and the Giants punched them in the mouth. They were put in a very early hole thanks to a Drew Gilbert home run, but they were able to tie it back up on a solo homer from Gabriel Moreno! Unfortunately for Arizona, that would be all for the offense. San Francisco took the lead back almost right away, and they never let it go. It was still close up until the eighth where the Giants really started to add on by roughing up Kevin Ginkel for four runs. Arizona couldn’t find an answer as San Francisco brings the D-Backs back to reality
