The Angels just never cease to disappoint. The Halos got off to an amazing start in this game as they had a three run lead after a wild first inning from Painter. They didn’t really do anything on offense after that, but it didn’t seem like they would need to. The pitching was awesome, especially Detmers. He might’ve lost his scoreless innings streak, but he still tossed six innings of one run ball. The next few relievers were all great as they preserved the lead, and Joyce came in to get the save. He allowed a lot of traffic, and it looked like he had given up the go-ahead home run. Thankfully Meckler made an amazing running catch to rob Stott! That got the Phillies down to their last out, and Joyce was taken out after loading the bases. The Angels’ save leader is still Romano. It took just three pitches before Sosa hit a grand slam. The Angels had a chance to respond, but we all knew they wouldn’t. It is genuinely painful to watch the Angels. The Halos need to finish the season 11-16
