7 wins in a row for the Braves but back to back games that were just too close for comfort against the Rockies. Matt Olson with a chance to extend their lead past 2-1 with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the 7th but strikes out to end the inning. Luckily for him, the game went to extras and he redeemed himself with the walkoff single. Olson has consistently been one of the best hitting first basemen in the MLB, many would argue the best, and this year has been no different. 37 homers on the year, 40 is certainly likely after the past couple years being down years, at least by his standards, for a lot of guys they'd kill to have back to back 29 homer seasons. And he is always there. Never hurt. HE HAS NEVER MISSED A GAME IN HIS CAREER WITH THE BRAVES. 162/162 games from 2022-2025 and all 137 so far this season.
There's certainly a lot of work to be done, but at 32 years old with 325 home runs and 44 WAR, a spot in the Hall of Fame is up for grabs for Matt Olson.
