This game seemed like it would be a slugfest with the Cardinals jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on an Alec Burleson double, but that would end up being the most offense on the day. The St. Louis pitching staff was dominant all game as they only allowed one run on three hits with the bullpen coming in and tossing five innings of one hit ball. The Reds’ pitching did settle down after their rocky first inning, but it didn’t end up being enough. The Cardinals lock this game down with Riley O’Brien’s National League leading 31st save as they take the first game of the double header!

Yeah idk. It was a close game but one where neither team could get anything going. Alec Burleson hit a 2-rbi double in the first and the Reds hit a hr in tbe 4th. This wasn't an elite pitching performance. It was started by 2 AAA pitchers and no batter outside of Dane Myers did anything notable.
