Grant Holmes is going to have to play a big role for the Braves in the playoffs this year. Aside from Chris Sale, they don't have any superstar starting pitchers. They have one of the best lineups in the game but it's pitching is what they lack. Seeing Grant Holmes pitch like this against a playoff team in the White Sox has to be a huge confidence booster. He's been very solid this year, 8-5, 3.64 ERA, and he needs to get even better when the playoffs come. The playoffs are so much more about pitching than regular season games are and so many games, just one bad inning by a pitcher can cost you a game or series.
