This is the kind of game I point to and call a sexy blowout. From the beginning, the Netherlands dominated, but they completely controlled the game with high octane action! Brobbey and Gakpo with a brilliant 1-2 play set up the first Dutch goal and Brobbey scored again off a feed from Dumfries. It quickly looked like it was going to be a repeat of Sweden-Tunisia, just with Sweden on the opposite side. However, the Swedes didn’t back down. They initially got penetration that ended with some weak shots before getting some great chances, forcing Verbruggen to make some big saves. At halftime, Sweden didn’t feel dead. It felt like they were right on the cusp of a comeback.
The Dutch crushed Sweden’s dreams with a beautiful play for goal #3, then Gakpo scored again to make the lead 4-0. Elanga came in and looked incredible, flustering the Dutch defence and scoring a goal with his pace, but Sweden couldn’t add more to it before Summerville put the cherry on top of a very convincing win.

What a dominant performance from the Dutch. I had them winning but winning this bad was a shock. Sweden was never that good to really compete with the Netherlands. Makes you think how good Japan is, they played right along with the Netherlands for all 90+ minutes. Pretty easy pick, I did not see Sweden winning ever. That yellow and blue is the best combination tho.
