The 1,000th match of the World Cup. And it went exactly as I expected. Japan is an amazing team. In my eyes, the perfect dark horse team. So perfect they'll find themselves in the quarterfinals. And this only made my hopes higher for that. A goal 3 and a half minutes in and then they just added on afterwards. Incredible performance by Japan. And now Tunisia is another bad loss against Netherlands away from having one of the worst World Cup campaigns ever. Most goals in a single World Cup game for Japan, and the first Asian team ever to put up 4 goals. Just an absolute embarrassment of a World Cup campaign for Tunisia.

Yup just as I predicted Tunisia sucks. I was absolutely shocked they scored a goal against Sweden. That honestly will be their highest of the entire tournament. Japan is on another level compared to this Tunisia team. They lost to Sweden 5-1 or something like that and the Netherlands beat Sweden also like 5-1. Tunisia is about to lose by 8 goals 😭 but of course they will probably win 1-0 and prove me wrong. I’m really looking forward to watching Japan play. They are so good, I’m a big fan. I think I got all my pick right, yay. I’m still in 20th but I’m just happy to be here at this point.

Japan was amazing defensively and just watching them you can see their cohesion is strong with the passes and just understanding of each other. Ueda was cooking and I would not be surprised if he's able to move to a top 5 league just from that performance, that assist leading to the third goal was NASTY

Japan crushed Tunisia to the surprise of absolutely no-one. I fell asleep during this game at halftime so I’d blame the halftime show before I blame the game itself. However, that doesn’t mean this game was a thriller. Japan was entertaining as ever, but I ask again to the Tunisia FA: what did you expect Herve Renard do with a team he’s never coached? Japan immediately proved mine and everyone’s belief that Tunisia was screwed by scoring a kind of awkward goal just 4 minutes into it and then doubling the lead 25 minutes later thanks to Ueda. In the 2nd half, Japan was basically showing off, scoring a couple beauties to officially make this game a blowout and cement Tunisia as a classic case of a team benefitting from a horrifically easy qualification group. Japan made up for 99% of the entertainment value while the other 1% was laughing at Tunisia and me feeling bad for Herve Renard (seriously man, you’re too good for this shitshow). Ueda was fantastic in this game.
