Man I was so bullish on New Zealand going into this game and they honestly looked like the better team in the first half. Idk if they just ran out of gas or if Egypt had the halftime talk of a lifetime but props to Egypt for not only hanging in but piling it on

Solid match. Egypt 🇪🇬 was clearly the better team but New Zealand 🇳🇿 looked for a long time like it could hold onto its 1-0 lead. Not the case. Great chance for Egypt to win the group with Belgium 🇧🇪 foundering.

THE EGYPTIAN KING! MO SALAH LETS GOOOOO! That goal got my so hyped I knew even after New Zealand's goal Egypt would come back led by Mo Salah and they did. An incredible shot just past the outstretched hand of the keeper. Mo Salah is still here baby 34 years old and still balling out. Egypt is in great hands if he's still out there on the attack and I could've seen them making a nice run but if they win this group they'll have to face the USA in the round of 16. Still an incredible goal by Mo Salah, got me so excited, and it helped secure Egypt's first World Cup victory.

Both teams were looking for their first World Cup win Egypt did not come out playing well in the 1st half and New Zealand went up first, but it was a completely different game in the 2nd half with Mo completely taking over for Egypt and getting them the first ever country win and one step closer to qualifying for the first time as well. Two great matches from this squad so far

Two squads looking for their first ever World Cup win oozing passion, but in the end, it was Egypt who claimed their first win in their 9th attempt. At first, it looked like New Zealand were gonna claim their first ever win, but an improved flow and cohesion on the attacking side ripped this game away from the Kiwis and handed it to the Pharaohs of Egypt This game started as a back and forth affair with no clear team in advantage. After about 10 minutes of that, it was New Zealand who looked more threatening and the Kiwis struck first with a header from Surman assisted by Mr. Least popular World Cup player, Tim Payne. New Zealand remained in control for the rest of the half and it certainly felt like they were gonna win. Even when Egypt scored, still felt like the Kiwis could have it. Then Mo Salah finally had his moment, scoring to give Egypt the lead and later assisting the 2nd goal in an iconic performance. The Kiwis never had a chance after that and Egypt cruised to a 1st victory.

The Egyptian king spanked everyone in the locker room at halftime - only explanation for that brilliant comeback.

Snoozefest watched this as background noise missed 3 minutes to take a shit

Ref had ZERO control over this game, he was swayed by arguments and struggled to hold his own calls. NZ came into the second half with not even half of the their first half energy which led to their downfall. Congrats to Egypt for their first ever World Cup win.

Egypt came out of the halftime and unlocked Super Saiyan Goku mode. Fun comeback but kinda sad to see New Zealand lose.

A great comeback from Egypt to get there first WC win which really surprised me, love to see Mo Salah score he deserves it.

Strong from Egypt, and exactly what they needed, I feel for New Zealand a bit, but at least they got a goal

Really good showing from Egypt today, this group is honestly their’s to win with Belgium playing like bums atm. Good for them lol.

Pyramids > Kiwis. Happy for King Mo man he’s one of the good guys.
