Spain looks like the team we all expected them to be as they completely obliterate Saudi Arabia. I’m sure Spaniards everywhere were anxious to finally see that first goal. Fittingly, Lamine Yamal gave it to them as he slid the ball into the net to finally open the scoring for Spain’s World Cup. Getting that monkey off their back must’ve helped because Spain scored 2 more times in quick succession before the end of the first half. Any hope of a Saudi Arabia comeback or even an interesting 2nd half died when Saudi conceded an own goal in the first 5 minutes. At that point, they could’ve ended the game as the last 45 minutes was just waiting for the game to end.
Everyone will be talking about the history Lamine Yamal made and rightfully so, but Mikel Oyarzabal deserves all the flowers. Not only was it his perfect cross that set up Yamal for his goal, but he also scored the 2 goals shortly after. Probably could’ve scored or assisted more if Spain hadn’t taken him and Yamal off for rest.

Well that was terrible. Spain got to whooping fast and never let off the gas. I still think Saudi is pretty good but getting beat this bad is pretty embarrassing. Yemal got his first World Cup goal today, first of many. I can’t believe he’s only 18. That’s crazy. He will be watching him play with Spain for years and years. Spain has mostly taken the group, I don’t see them losing to Uruguay. Cape Verde shut out Spain, let that sink in after what you saw today. Spain is scary. I pray we will see a France Spain final, that would be awesome, France would definitely win. Easy pick nothing to get excited about.

I’m going to keep it another buck with you I was playing Hunter call of the wild. But I couldn’t get a kangaroo so that ruined that. But there is a reason people think Yamal is the next king of football, just so noticeable for the 46 minutes but oyarzabal was the best today put him self in the correct positions. Ok game

game 37/104. and there is the spain we all thought we were going to get against cape verde. what a start for yamal as well. you could tell almost instantly the mentality was different for this spain team. oyazrabal got much more involved grabbing a brace, an assist and arguably the MOTM in only 45 months. again nice to see yamal get his first career WC goal. saudi arabia on the other hand struggled from the very beginning. only able to muster one shot on target that came in the 2nd half down by a few already. rooting for a uruguay win later tonight to hopefully set up an awesome 3rd group stage game with 1st place on the line
