What a World Cup showing by Jordan. Of course they would’ve wanted to go further, but for their first ever appearance they truly left their hearts on the pitch. They never gave up, and have 100% effort the whole game. I’m looking forward to their future in world football.

Jorden got started with a first half goal that they held onto until half time. Algeria dominated possession and basically every first half stat other than the most important stat the score. Jorden is now 0-2 but they have put up fights in all their matches. Unfortunately they are going up against Argentina for their last group stage game and they will not be an easy game. Algeria gets a much needed win. They will play Austria next, that game will be very interesting and important. I’m really excited to watch that one. My group J picks are still alive! I need to get these next two games correct to get that achievement. I had Algeria always, I never saw them losing but I could see a draw. Somehow by picking with my gut we are right back this. I went from 6th,17th, 27th, 29th, 39th, 25th, and now 14th. I gotta stay locked now’s the time.

ALGERIA, AT THE DEATH, SAVES THEIR CHANCES IN THE WORLD CUP AND MY CHANCES AT THE GROUP ACHIEVEMENT! It was looking grim for both late in this game as Jordan, despite barely having the ball, were capitalizing on the few chances they got, eventually leading to the first goal of the game before halftime. Algeria were in shambles, their entire World Cup relied on winning this game. They couldn’t afford to lose. Luckily, a couple of set pieces helped Algeria complete the comeback, save their World Cup and subsequently end Jordan’s.
While that storyline was awesome, the game itself beyond that just kinda alright. Not great as Algeria hung on the ball, but struggled to do much until the 2nd half. Meanwhile, Jordan looked totally helpless after Algeria took the lead, basically a dead team walking. The play on the field probably deserves like a 6 while the crazy comeback deserves like an 9. But I’m gonna give it a boost because this game saved my group achievement, so it gets a solid 8/10.
