It was nice to see Belgium actually play good. Trossard had two. Belgium legends De Bruyne and Lukaku get one. Elijah Just scored a Chris Paul three goal to go 3-1 down at the time. And then Alexis Saelemaekers ended it with a bang for his country. Big for goal difference and we wil see Belgium advance.

It’s about time Belgium wake up from whatever coma they were in previously and New Zealand was more than happy to let Belgium gather their bearings before laying down so the Red Devils could walk all over them. I really wish New Zealand had tried… at all. Even when they finally scored, they couldn’t let me think they had a chance to make this a game for longer than 2 minutes. Am I pissed that Belgium made me look like an idiot? Yes, but I’m also pissed that it took them this long to play up to their potential. Premier League champion Leandro Trossard was tearing New Zealand apart. His lack of pace didn’t matter as New Zealand couldn’t get the ball off of him. De Bruyne looked like he was back at Wolfsburg and Lukaku found his finishing touch. Everything went swell for Belgium and thanks to Egypt failing to beat Iran, they have somehow won a group they absolutely didn’t deserve. It is safe to say Belgium is the worst group winner, but they can prove that wrong with a good knockout run.

Yes! Belgium scored! I never thought I’d see the day, I’m sure Belgium fans feel the same. They scored quite a lot also. New Zealand is officially eliminated from the knockout rounds after this lose. They actually played pretty good except this game, I’m happy for them. Unfortunately they are going home tho. They goals they scored was to little to late. I’m not sure how I feel about Belgium in the knockouts. I feel like they could lose really fast and that would be it again or they could go on a little run. I had Belgium all day, they were always gonna score and beat New Zealand in my eyes. Easy pick.
