OH MY GOD BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I get to MetLife 3 hours before KO. Fan zone is ELECTRIC with the England fans. We join a couple chants at the bar, get our flag, whole time, ITS POURING RAIN. 45 minutes before kickoff, we go to take a photo by the pitch in the lowest level, the staff lets us because it’s so early, we just stay there and hope there are open seats. (Originally I had seats in the top row of the stadium). KO rolls around; NO ONE TAKES OUR SEATS. We are 3 rows from the bottom, basically pitch side. PLAYERS WALK OUT 10 FEET FROM ME!!!!! WE HAVE 2 ENGLAND GOALS ON OUR SIDE SECOND HALF. After the match, Tuchel is walking for and interview. I call to him in German. HE WAVES AT ME?!?!?!!. We walk out of “our” seats. The concession stand lady gives me a free pretzel and apple strudel. We end up inside the group of England Ultras, screaming chants for the next hour. By the time we finally leave, we have a bag of free shit, and an experience I’ll never forget. I LOVE FOOTBAL

A mucky game that was perfect for the weather in New Jersey. Panama made sure to make it tough on the English, but they eventually collapsed under English fury. At first this felt like a potential repeat of the game against Ghana. England had what felt like 90% of the possession, but it felt like they couldn’t create anything substantial and the chances they did get were wasted. That was until Bellingham blasted a goal into the back of the net just 15 minutes into the 2nd half. At that point, the floodgates opened and Harry Kane doubled the lead while becoming England’s all-time leading goal scorer in the World Cup, passing the great Gary Lineker.
Even though this game initially felt like the Ghana-England matchup, it suffers from the fact that England just chilled out after the 2nd goal. They took out their best performers on the day and just waited for the final whistle. Could’ve been salvaged had Panama found the back of the net, but their best chance was ultimately offside.

A sloppy game in MetLife Stadium goes to England. Panama held England to no goals throughout the first half but Bellingham and Kane scored in the 62 and 67th minute to put England over the hump. It’s coming home again, start the parade! This could have been a lot worse if Panama wasn’t pretty solid at defense. Unfortunately the Panama National team has been eliminated from the knockout rounds. Pickford and his short arms get a clean sheet. I had England and everyone else did too. Number 41 correct!
