So I caught the end of this one and man this was a fun game to watch at the end. There was so many times I thought Ghana might be able to get them back and just end it in a tie but Croatia takes it. Both teams move on so neither team really in the bad of shape after this one.

Croatia advances to the knockouts! Ghana already had gotten their ticket to the next round because of the work they’ve previously done. After Ghana scored I thought for sure this would end in a draw. But, Croatia had other plans. Then they took the lead in the 86th ish minute. Kinda bummed I wanted my pick to be correct but it’s ok. I’ll be fine 🫠🫠🫠
Ghana just ran outa gas towards the end there. Kinda disappointing for the Ghana fans since they were so close to a draw. Again I had draw, so close but so far. That would have been a huge win for me if I got it right. Starting to run out of time with over half the tournament gone. Hopefully I can string some picks together.

game 68/104. picked england over this which was an unfortunate mistake. the game started a bit slow and more cautious but definitely ramped up. croatia found some rhythm and went into halftime up 1-0. modric showed this game he still has some left in him after quite poor performances in the first two matches. was hoping for a lot more this WC from semenyo but no goal involvements, and very few touches in all 3 games is probably the reason ghana have been so poor offensively. don't see them doing much damage in the knockouts. croatia could be dangerous but a first round game against portugal is scary

I expected Croatia to win this one pretty handily, but Ghana put up a great fight. Obviously this Croatia team is nowhere near where they were in 2018, but they still have a very solid squad that could make a run. As for Ghana, on 4 points they will make it out of the group stage, but will likely have a very tough opponent in the round of 32 who I don't see them getting past.

Great game that came down to the wire between 2 scrappy teams. Ghana’s defence remained well-structured, but Croatia eventually found the weak points and broke them down, even in the face of adversity after a perfect free kick play by Ghana. However, this game has reminded me of a school of thought.
People always wonder what the secret is to becoming a great footballer, well, we have the answer, you need 3 things. 1. Be Croatian 2. Be a midfielder and 3. Have a last name that ends with ‘ic’. If you have all those things, you’re destined to be a great player.
40-year-old Luke Modrić is both initiating the attack and blocking shots in the dying minutes. Petar Sučić is 22 and perfectly placed his shot into the bottom corner. Nikola Vlašić won the aerial battle to give Croatia the lead back. You even had Ivan Perišić filling in at fullback at 37-years-old.
They just never go away, you can’t assume they’re dead until the final whistle and they reminded everyone.
Never doubt Croatia.

First 15 minutes of this game were slow and I thought we weren’t going to get the dramatic ending we expected from one of the best groups of this World Cup. Boy I was wrong.
Both teams attacking and having real chances. Croatia was better in the first half and struck first with an insane shot between the defenders legs. Ghana then came out swinging in the 2nd half and were dominant in those first 15 but couldn’t score and their chance finally came off a free kick in the 73rd minute and I thought Ghana would hang on to this draw, substituting their whole front to defenders, but Croatia showed they’ve been here before and scored a beautiful header in the 83’ to win and send them through as 2nd to play Portugal. Ghana will face Colombia
