Thanks for coming Austria, really wish you put up more of a fight; at least you gave us an all-time classic before you left. Das Team was determined to keep this a war of attrition and for a while, it looked like they were gonna pull it off. Spain was hanging onto the ball forever, but unable to generate anything significant. All it took was 1 gap that Spain exploited to end that attempt and Cucurella was the one that found it, fired the ball through it and set up Oyarzabal for a delicate finish. That goal seemed to open up the game and Spain got a few more good chances, only to fail to convert thanks to a couple Schlager saves. I’d love to say that Austria kept this game tense, but they literally didn’t have a single shot on goal in the 2nd half. It’s hard to think they have any chance when the Spanish keeper didn’t even need his gloves for 45+ minutes. Watching Cucurella dice up Austria was fun, but this game was a formality in the 2nd half. Spain moves on to the surprise of nobody.

Vamos España! Felicidades por ganar contra Austria. ¡Siguiente es Portugal o Croatia! Este partido es aburrido porque sé que España va a ganar y Austria no hace nada para que el partido sea interesante.

Anyways, Crisp passes and chemistry finally clicking just needs to finish better, there should've been more golazos. Austria was just slow and couldn't keep up with their opponent, there were some flashes where they could score but was scarce. The momentum was all Spain.
Also picked Austria here, because last time I picked a team all of them lost. Lol.

Spain attacking masterclass. Lamine absolutely torching the right side, finishing at its finest. Cucu goal should have stood i don’t understand why keepers are so overly protected. Ozy with a masterclass as usual and ferran torres being dog shit as usual. Hopefully it will be a spain vs portugal r16

I started watching in the 35th minute right before the first goal! Spain played as advertised with Austria fighting for their lives. Spain will go on the face the winner of Portugal-Croatia. Cucurella had an incredible game with two assists and had a 8.5 game. But Oyarzabal had two goals so he will he play of the game. I picked Spain, I got them beating both Portugal and Croatia.
