Arsenal hangs on and wins it. Although my anxiety would tell you otherwise, Arsenal deservedly got the win, completely shutting down Burnley to the point that they didn’t have even a shot in the last 40 minutes. The Gunners are not pretty, we know it, but man I still find myself getting extremely anxious when Arsenal plays these close games. While that tension gives this game points for drama. Arsenal genuinely played a really good 1st half, the goal came from a corner, but there were other chances while Arsenal’s midfield dictated pace and possession. Unfortunately the focussed more on hanging onto the lead than adding to it. It looked like it would work, until we hit 90 minutes and I was chewing my gum hard to resist the urge to bite my nails. Drama gets it into the green, but not much higher. Declan Rice was sensational. He has somehow made his original 100 million price tag worth it. Thankful Raya is okay, we’ll need him. 1 game away. Just 1 win is all we need.
