I was very impressed by how the Ducks were playing in terms of getting shots and having lots of scoring opportunities, but a few bad mistakes and none of those scoring opportunities resulting in a goal (other than Sennecke’s first NHL goal) caused the Ducks to start the season 0-1

There are a lot of things I can and will criticize the Ducks about, at least they won. For example, how does a team give up 6 goals to the Sharks! Let alone on 24 shots! The Ducks were down almost all game, but they were always answer back and they had tons of amazing opportunities to get back into this one and they did! Kreider would get the goal with the extra man on the ice to send it to OT and Carlsson ended it almost immediately to give the Ducks the win!

What a way to open your season at home! I got really scared that the defense would play like they did against the Sharks after the Pens went up 2-0, but they locked in for the most part! The Ducks were able to get 2 to tie it up at the end of the 1st and both teams would exchange goals in the 2nd to send it to the 3rd tied! It would stay tied for most of the 3rd until Anaheim got a power play with a 1:30 left and Krieder scored less than 10 seconds later! The Ducks win the home opener!

After Carolina went up 2-0, I was hoping for another 2 goal comeback, but the power play didn’t do anything all night and Freddy was a brick wall. All in all, the Ducks just looked outmatched by the Hurricanes

Both goalies were electric through the game and the offenses couldn’t do anything about it! It was tied at 0 going into the 3rd when Chicago got the lead and the Ducks needed a lot of luck to send this game to OT! They got it with just under 2 minutes to go, the Blackhawks gave the Ducks a power play, and McTavish would score with 30 seconds left! Unfortunately, Chicago would be the one to score in OT after Dostal made an amazing save against a 3 on 1 that sent him flying across the ice to leave an empty net for Donato. At least the Ducks got a point

We finally got to see the Ducks play with a lead! They would strike first for the first time this season, and they let up a goal. Thankfully they would score pretty early in the 2nd period to get another lead, and they immediately gave up another goal. This time, the Ducks got not 1 goal, but 2 more goals in the 2nd and would not give up another lead today! Even Terry FINALLY got lucky and got a goal in the 3rd! The Ducks get right back on track!

This is a game that the Ducks from last year would’ve lost by a lot, but this team is different! They were able to recover from some very sloppy play and a couple of deficits! Even when they got a 2 goal lead in the 3rd and blew it, they were able to regain their lead and not give up that advantage! I have so much optimism for this season!

The Ducks looked good throughout most of this game, but they just couldn’t quite get enough in the net. They were able to come back from 1 down and then 2 down, unfortunately they never got the lead because Tampa would get a late PP goal and the Ducks couldn’t answer back

The Ducks didn’t have too many chances, but special teams made good on them! They wouldn’t allow Florida to score on the PP and even got a shorthanded goal to get the scoring started! They would get one more on a 5-3 penalty! Florida did tie it up to sent it to OT, but even though the Panthers would get a late PP in OT, the Ducks hold strong and win it in the shootout!

John Gibson making his return to Anaheim was the headline going into this game, but the Ducks were all over him! They would score short handed for the second game in a row 5 minutes in and Detroit would tie it up quickly, but Carlsson would score right after that and the Ducks would never let go of that lead! A few more goals later and the Ducks are able to cruise to the W! We are so making the playoffs this year!

Sennecke got it going early with a goal on the first shot of the game and the Ducks would eventually jump out to a 3-0 lead including the first goal from Vatrano this year, but the big story was the Dostwall! He saved 32 out of 33 from this electric New Jersey offense as the Ducks dominate and win 4-1! They are now tied with Vegas for first in the division!

I know that the Panthers were without Tkachuk and Barkov, but that was one of the best performances I have seen from the Ducks! It was close through the first 2 periods with Cutter getting 3 out of 4 goals for Anaheim for his first hat trick and the Ducks would take a 4-3 lead to the 3rd! Almost all of the first 10 minutes of the 3rd weren’t played 5-5 including one of the weakest game misconduct penalties to take Leo out of the game, but they wouldn’t need him! Anaheim would score 3 times in just over 3 minutes and sweep this home stand and get the season sweep over the Panthers!

Holy cow the Ducks are incredible! They did not look incredible in the first after trailing 2-0 off of a couple power play goals, but they came storming back in the second! They would out score Dallas 4-1 in the period and take a lead to the third! Anaheim was playing with fire the entire period, but they are ultimately able to ice it and win 7-5!

The Ducks can’t stop winning! They were sitting pretty at a 3-1 lead off of 2 Carlsson goals (the first being real pretty), but the Knights didn’t go down that easy! They overwhelm the Ducks in the 3rd period and tie it up to send it to OT! Vegas would control most of the extra period, but on the back of Petr Mrazek, Anaheim would hold them off and Trouba would end it! We truly have something special!

I was a bit scared that the winning streak would come to an end at the back end of a back-to-back, but I was VERY wrong! Sennecke and Carlsson both finished with a pair of goals and the Ducks completely shut down Winnipeg! They just cannot be stopped!

The Ducks had a lot of chances and Dostal kept them in it for a lot of the game, but Colorado was just too much. They scored just 28 seconds in and even though Anaheim would tie it up before the second, the Avs would take the lead back and not let it up again. I still have a ton of faith in these Ducks

Utah looked like the better team for a lot of tonight, but that doesn’t matter! Anaheim was down 1 with 4.1 seconds left when Terry buried a rebound to send it to OT and Zellweger would bury a beauty of a pass from Sennecke to win it! The Ducks stay undefeated when scoring first and break their 3 game skid!

What a game! The Ducks played some sloppy defense in the first half of the game, but with Dosty playing gray and the offense scoring goals they never trailed! They really cleaned their game up in the second half and even though Boston tied it, Moore would save us from OT with a goal with 3 minutes to go! The Ducks are back on track!

The Ducks played bad in the first, but really bounced back for the other 2! Even though they were playing better, they gave up a late goal and couldn’t get the answer, but boy did they have some great chances late. The back end of the back-to-back was just a bit to much

The Ducks were down 2 less than 5 minutes into the game, but they would tie it up less than 4 minutes later and we have ourselves a game! They would exchange goals after that and we would need OT! Anaheim would have all the chances and they would win it on the weirdest one where Marner handed it to Gauthier right in front of the net and he wouldn’t miss! That’s 2 OT wins against Vegas this year!

The Ducks sure do play some entertaining games, but it was just soooo sloppy. Vancouver had tons of grade A chances and it was just a bit too much for Mrazek to handle. At least we still lead the Pacific

The Ducks were very sloppy at times, but some big saves and lots of offensive opportunities allow them to come back from 2 1 goal leads and then a 2 goal deficit that was matched with a empty net goal to send it to OT! The Ducks would get goals in the shootout from Terry and McTavish to steal an extra point from the Queens!

This is gonna leave a mark. The Ducks were dominant through the first 10 minutes and had a 3-0 lead, but they got too comfortable after that. Chicago would score 1 at the end of the first and then 2 in the second to make it a 20 minute hockey game. It then looked like Killorn gave the Ducks the lead back on a shorthanded goal, but Poehling was offsides and it was followed by a very sloppy play that left Bedard in front of the net to give the Hawks a lead they wouldn’t give up. The Ducks had no business losing this game

Great way to bounce back! The Ducks jumped out to a 1-0 then a 2-1 lead because Binnington sucked and he was pulled right after that. The Ducks would hold the Blues to 0-6 on the PP and score one more + the empty net! Sennecke also extends his point streak to 8 and ties Kariya for the longest for a rookie in Ducks history!

Terrible game. Husso was bad and the defense wasn’t helping. It was fun to see Buteyets make his NHL debut, but he game up 3 goals too. I would really like to see the Ducks stop giving up these highlight reel goals.

Great game by the Ducks! The defense was still a bit lacking and gave Washington 3 different leads, but the offense made sure that the deficit stayed manageable! Sennecke had a great game with an assist and a goal, the latter tied the game and would eventually take us to OT and eventually a shootout! Carlsson got robbed on his attempt, but the Ducks still come out on top in a game they really needed to win!

I was hoping we could have a similar showing to the Kings last night and I think we did! The Ducks have been a bit snake bitten with the Hawks lately, especially in their last meeting, so this was a big one! We not only beat the Hawks by 6, but we also outshot them 53(the most shots by any team this season)-20! Bucket got a couple points to extend his rookie lead and Leo got a couple goals as well! Nice that my team could beat Chicago twice today!

I’m going to be honest and say that we did not deserve to win this game but these kids have fight! I was a kinda thought it was over when Pittsburgh scored late until Beckett Sennecke scored on a shorthanded opportunity with 0.1 seconds left and sent us to OT! Husso stood on his head tonight stopping 44 out of 47 and the Ducks win in the shootout!

The Ducks took the early lead, but that was about it for them. Some terrible play from Gudas and especially Helleson, who gave New Jersey their lead that they wouldn’t give back. Strong last period by Anaheim, but Allen stood on his head and an empty netter sealed it

Good game by the Ducks overall! Dostal was good and Cutter got a couple, the first was a go-ahead goal off a nifty pass from Sennecke and they were able to ice it with the other goal on the empty netter! Mintukov would also catch the Rangers sleeping to tally one more as the Ducks get the bounce back win! I do wish Trouba or Kreider could’ve got one in their return, but this will do!

Good game with a disappointing ending. This was a relatively low scoring game other than a 90 second flurry where each team got 2, but it was a 1 goal lead for Columbus going to the third. Late in that period, LaCombe would bury a bad angle shot to send us to OT! Unfortunately the Ducks couldn’t capitalize and the defense gave up on defending Fantilli and Husso can’t make the save. Hopefully the Ducks can get revenge on Friday

Welp, this was a great game and there are a lot of positives to take away from this, but damn. I can’t believe that the Ducks lost after outshooting the Sharks by 30. It felt like the Sharks scored on every single good chance they had, and the Ducks couldn’t get anything to go in. The Ducks have now lost 4 of their last 5

Another great game overall by the Ducks, that started with them taking an early lead, but they would give up 5 unanswered. The Ducks did bring it within one off a pretty Sennecke goal and completely dominate the third period, but they couldn’t get the equalizer. Please get out of this losing streak!

It was nice to see Cutter score first with all the boos and the Ducks special teams looked the best they’ve had all season, but the problem was that they could not stay out of the penalty box! They were shorthanded 8 times and spent more than half of the game shorthanded! Zegras would end up getting 2 goals in his revenge game and Garnet Hathaway definitely did his job because he was getting under my skin too! It will be very entertaining to see how they play against each other in March, but the Ducks desperately need to get out of this losing streak

Troy, Cutter, and Leo were out for this game, but the Ducks actually played one of their best games this season! Their defense was solid and they would take a lead in the second period and would never give it up! It got scary when Dallas pulled it within 1, but Dostwall played out of his mind today! The losing streak is over!

It wasn’t looking good when the Ducks went down 2-0 early, but a couple quick goals, including Tim Washe’s first, would make it a 20 minute hockey game! Nobody would score in the 3rd or OT and McTavish would end it in the shootout in his signature style! My first game at Ponzi Scheme Arena is a worthwhile one!

Great defensive game by the Ducks that would need overtime again! This one wouldn’t need a shootout because Sennecke made an excellent play to stop a clear cut breakaway for Fiala and he would flip it back to Granlund who wouldn’t miss! That’s 3 wins in a row from the Ducks and they have only allowed 4 total goals in those games!

Happy 22nd birthday to Cutter Gauthier, who had a couple goals to hold off the Rangers! The Ducks played another solid game and continue the winning streak before one of their most important stretches of the season! What a way to bounce back from that 9 game losing streak!

The Ducks got the lead in the second when world class goal scorer Jeffrey Viel tallied his second in as many games, but the real story was the Dostwall! He was holding onto the shutout for the majority of the game and he didn’t let the tying goal affect him! It went to OT and then a shootout where he wouldn’t let anything in and Granlund and Gauthier would win it in the shootout! The Avs don’t end the Ducks’ win streak this time!

The Ducks got the scoring started early and they would never look back! Seattle did make it a bit scary when they made it a 1 goal game, but I trust Dosty more than anything and Mintyukov would bank in the empty netter to seal it! The win streak continues at 6!

What a weird game. The Ducks got off to a horrible start when they would go down 2-0 after getting outshot 17-2, but they would bounce back big in the next frame! Sennecke would net 2 goals to tie it up and make it a 20 minute hockey game! The Flames would take the lead until Kreider converted on a 2 on 1 to send it to overtime! Sennecke would end up completing the hat trick and winning the Ducks their 7th straight!

The Ducks played a really great game except for a horrible 4 minute stretch early in the middle frame, but I am very happy that they could bring it back within 1 and the Granlund hat trick that did it. They give up a couple empty netters and the win streak ends at 7 again

The Ducks had a few good looks in this game, but they didn’t really test Vancouver at all and when Dostal gave up the one goal, it was already over. The Ducks just came off a winning streak where they beat Dallas and Colorado! Why can’t they beat Vancouver?!

Dominant start by the Ducks with a couple goals from Kreider and a snipe from Cutter to give them the 3-0 lead! And then it got scary. Marner would capitalize on a very unlucky bounce and then a slew of horrible turnovers that Dostal is somehow able to fight off ended with one that he didn’t to make it a 1 goal game! Thankfully, Poehling would hit the empty net and, even though Hertl would score VERY late, the Ducks are able to bounce back and the Knights are still in a tailspin!

The Ducks looked dominant through 55 minutes of this game and that was good for a 4-0 lead! Unfortunately for me, they would let up 1 because they are allergic to getting shutouts and they would let up another so I couldn’t have a stress free watch, but they would hold on and go into the Olympic break on a high note!

This one took a few years off my life! The Ducks were in a 2-0 hole almost immediately, but they were able to fight back to tie it before the first 5 minutes of the second, until they ended that period in horrible fashion and trailed by 2 again! They responded and tied it back up right away before Edmonton would get one more that the Ducks also answered! This set up Cutter Gauthier with 1:30 left to seal it! Joel Quenneville has 1000 wins and boy is it great to have Ducks hockey back!

This game just felt off from the start. Hellebyuck was great of course, but it felt like the Ducks were abnormally unlucky (especially that missed trip that led to the 3rd Winnipeg goal). That was until Leo scored on the power play! That seemed to give Anaheim new life and they scored the tying goal pretty quick after! Poehling would then split the D to give the Ducks their first lead on a beautiful goal! The Jets did tie it and send it to overtime, but Sennecke would give the puck to Krieder on the doorstep and he would tap it in! This is the Ducks’ 9th multi-goal comeback of the year!

This game had an ungodly amount of whistles and it seemed to be throwing off the Ducks, but it didn’t end up mattering! Anaheim would never lead even though they tied it twice from two polar opposite goals from Cutter! This one would need a shootout and it would be MacT doing his thing for the winner!

The Islanders got the scoring started, but it would be almost all Ducks for the rest of the game! Cutter would net 2 and Sennecke would score a 3rd goal in the first period to give Anaheim a lead they wouldn’t give up because Husso was outstanding after his long absence! The Ducks go into the trade deadline with a win!

This one took a few years off my life! Both goalies were terrible until the shootout, and it didn’t even look like the Ducks would make it there! They turned a 4-2 lead into a 5-4 deficit before Kreider would tip in a point show from Trouba to send it to overtime! Anaheim then barely controlled the puck at all in the extra frame and then took a penalty with 2 minutes left! They would kill it off and Killorn would get the shootout winner! Now I get to see John Carlson on Sunday probably!

I was thinking this would be an easy win for the Ducks, and it seems they thought that too. Anaheim couldn’t get anything going at all and a 3 goal middle frame is more than enough to do them in. Hopefully this makes them realize they can’t take games off, but I can’t believe the Ducks got shut out by the 2026 St. Louis Blues

Winnipeg did strike first, but all that did was secure another comeback victory for the Ducks! 3 goals in 2 minutes after the Jets goal was more than enough as Anaheim played one of the best complete games I have seen them play in a long time! Nice bounce back win after that terrible game against the Blues!

Of course it was the Ducks that broke Toronto’s losing streak. This game started wonderfully with the Ducks dominating and taking a 3-1 lead, but they took their foot off the gas. One special teams disasterclass later, where Anaheim gave up 3 power play goals and 1 shorthanded goal, and this became one that got away. All Canadians should know that we hate Gudas too!

Just a brutal game. The Ducks have not been the same team over these last 4 periods and have not gotten anything going. This game ended when Anaheim got hosed on a no goalie interference call and didn’t come close to coming back. Thank God the Pacific is terrible

The Ducks really needed this one and they looked like it! It was great seeing Terry back and Carlson was great in his Ducks debut! Leo scored the first 2 goals of the game, but Montreal came storming back by scoring 3 unanswered, the Ducks weren’t done though! Terry would tie it and Cutter would receive a great pass by Viel to score the game winner with 2:30 left! Anaheim is back on top of crap mountain!

Well this was a very disappointing game. It was great to see Zegras back at the pond (although I didn’t appreciate him getting booed) and Cutter factoring in both goals for the Ducks was awesome, but Anaheim was very sloppy all game with an incredibly unlucky bounce giving the Flyers the win. At least they got a point to get back ahead of Edmonton

This was a really great game! The Ducks gave up the first goal (of course) but they have a very strong first 2 periods where they take a 4-2 lead! I was hoping they would cruise from there so of course they did the exact opposite and turned that lead into a deficit. Thankfully, Granlund would tie it with the goalie pulled and Terry would score on a breakaway in overtime to slow down the Sabres wagon!

The Ducks gave up the first goal again and Vancouver kept it way closer than I would’ve liked, but Anaheim is able to get a lead they wouldn’t give up off a McTavish snipe to finally beat the Canucks!

This was a really big game for the Ducks and it was a great watch, but this is very disappointing. Both goalies played out of their mind and it was a close back and forth game for the first 2 periods (the shot totals shocked me because they were so lopsided for Edmonton) even though Edmonton had a lead. Unfortunately for the Ducks, they melt down early in the third allowing 2 quick goals, and a furious comeback effort was just not quite enough. Dosty deserved the win today

Exciting game, but damn that was disappointing. There was plenty of fighting and revenge for the Matthews hit, unfortunately the Ducks are incapable of beating the Leafs. If this is what happens when they score first then I am ok with coming from behind. I really hope Cutter is ok

This one is going to sting for a while. The Ducks gave up the first goal of course, but they played a great all around game for 58 minutes. Unfortunately for Anaheim, Macklin Celebrini exists and he made a couple great plays to score the tying goal and get the primary assist on the winning goal to stun the Ducks. This might’ve lost Anaheim the division

This was almost the perfect game. Cutter scored twice in his return to reach 40 goals and the Ducks were able to make another great comeback, but they came up short in OT to not clinch the playoffs

It is such a great feeling having playoff hockey back and I was lucky enough to attend the watch party at the Pond, but the Ducks choked away this one by allowing a couple late goal to lose 4-3. The Ducks showed a ton of fight though and made it known that they are not going down easy! Even it up on Wednesday please 🙏

Massive win for the Ducks! They played a really great and were able to respond every time the Oilers scored! Anaheim had a 1 goal lead going into the third period and they blew that lead again, but Cutter GOAThier was able to score with 5 minutes left, giving the Ducks a lead they wouldn’t choke! Tied series going back to Anaheim!

Anaheim takes their first series win since beating the Oilers in 2017 thanks to an amazing team effort! We are the Ducks and the world is our pond!

Disappointing way to end this great goalie duel. The Ducks outshot Vegas for most of this game, but they also trailed 1-0 for its majority. Anaheim tied it up with 6 minutes to go and looked to go to overtime, until Vegas’ cheque cleared and the refs said no icing leading to the winning goal. The Ducks need a big win Wednesday

I was at the watch party again and it was just as electric as the first! The Dostwall was incredible tonight and the offense looked amazing! They were getting tons of chances, but they only needed two goals to beat the Knights and tie this series! I wish Dosty was able to hold onto the shutout though

That was one of the worst games I have ever watched. Dostal was bad and nobody was helping him. At least the Ducks channeled their inner Chris Paul at the end to save face a bit. Game four is a must win for the Ducks

The Ducks bounced back by improving in every facet of their game! Dostal was great, they got two power play goals, they didn’t give Vegas too many chances, and they had two times as many goals on Hart as they did any other game! This series is tied going back to Vegas!

Great game, but SO disappointing. This was an amazing goalie battle that the Ducks tied late thanks to a snipe by Zellweger! This sent it to overtime where a bad turnover would lead to Dorofeyev ending this one and giving Vegas a 3-2 series lead. I feel like the Ducks still looked really good and they still have a chance, but it is going to be an uphill battle from here

I cannot understate how amazing this season was. The Ducks made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2018 and won their first series since 2017. It was just incredible watching them this year and I know that this is just the beginning of what they will do, but that doesn’t make this loss any less disappointing. I just wish they could’ve gone down with more of a fight. At least I can find solace in knowing that Vegas will get obliterated by the Avalanche
