Predicting Every MLB Team's Biggest Breakout of 2026, Part 1, Blue Jays
Addison Barger has shown some promise in his first two years in the league. Last season, at age 25, he hit .243 with 27 homers and 74 RBIs in 135 games. 2 of those homers were walk-off winners in the bottom of the 9th and 11th respectively. He hit .366 with 3 homers and 9 RBIs in the playoffs last season. This dude is clutch. And alongside that, this year, he's gonna do it all even before the late-game heroics.
Final Stats Prediction: .269 AVG, 27 HR, 83 RBI

Predicting every teams breakout player this season, part 2- Connelly Early, Red Sox
Early was a rookie last year and after being called up in September, pitched great. He made 4 starts, pitching 19.1 innings and allowing 5 earned runs, striking out 29. He even gave the Red Sox enough confidence to start him in Game 3 against the Yankees with the season on the line. While it was a tough ending for him, he has earned himself a spot in the Sox starting rotation, scheduled to pitch on Sunday in the finale against Cincinnati.
My predictions:
12-7, 3.18 ERA, 237 K

Predicting Every MLB teams breakout player of 2026, part 3- Cam Schlittler, Yankees
I absolutely hate to do this one. It pains me. Schlittler ended the Sox season last year with an 8 inning shutout. But man is he good. Even last year, in the 14 starts he made, he had an ERA of 2.96. And I think he'll take a big step forward this season, with an improved spot in the starting rotation and more opportunity.
Final prediction:
13-5, 2.82 ERA, 261 K

Predicting every teams breakout player in 2026, part 4- Heston Kjerstad, Orioles
Kjerstad is starting this season on the 10-day IL, and may be off to a slow start after, but once he picks it up I think he'll be great. Of course, the obvious pick here would've been Jackson Holliday- but I think Kjerstad will be better, at least this season. He hasn't played more than 54 games in his 3 year career, but if he can find himself into a starting role he will take full advantage of it. The raw tools are there, he has to fine them
Final prediction:
.297, 19 HR, 76 RBI

Predicting Every MLB teams breakout player for 2026, Part 5- Carson Williams, Rays
Williams is the top prospect in the Rays system, and after being named their starting shortstop, I expect him to make an immediate impact. He struggled in his 99 at bats last year, getting a hit in only 11 of them (.172 batting average), however, 5 of those hits were home runs. He has a ton of power and I expect him to play great with a 40-home run hitter in Junior Caminero
Final Prediction:
.281, 32 HR, 98 RBI

Predicting Every Teams Breakout Player for 2026, Part 6- Chase Meidroth, White Sox
Meidroth was one of the return pieces to the White Sox when they traded Garrett Crochet to the Red Sox. A solid middle infielder, he was called up last season, and played decently. He hit .253 with 5 homers in 122 games. I expect those numbers to take a big leap forward on a White Sox team that could make a sleeper competition in the Wild Card race.
Final prediction:
.274, 18 HR, 69 RBI

Predicting Every MLB teams breakout player for 2026, Part 7- Kyle Manzardo, Guardians
Manzardo started to break out a bit last season, launching 27 home runs, but he's got 40 home run power somewhere in his bat, and while I don't think he reaches that 40 home run mark this season, he'll be there soon. He also only is hitting .234 in his career, I think that average sees a 30 point jump this season.
Final Prediction:
.264 AVG, 33 HR, 102 RBI

Record Predictions for every team
White Sox: 72-90
Brewers: 94-68
Well all right then. WooSox legend Chase Meidroth goes yard to start the scoring and then its all Brewers. Jake Bauers and Sal Frelick, probably the last 2 guys you would've expected-go yard. A great start to the season for Milwaukee, Misiorowki struck out 11 in 5 innings. He struggled after his unworthy All Star selection last year, Brewers need to get him back on track.

predicting every MLB team's record in 2026
Orioles 78-84
Twins 65-97
Tyler O'Neill's Opening Day Homer streak is gone 💔
Cowser and Alexander with an RBI but Gunnar Henderson and Pete Alonso combine for 0 for 7. Good start to the season for Joe Ryan scoreless in 5 and a third, but Trevor Rogers says I'll one (and 2 thirds) up you going for 7 innings shutout!

Every MLB team record prediction:
Nationals: 76-86
Cubs: 95-67
With Joey Weimer hitting a homer in this one and likely winning RateGame Player of the Game, its a good time to mention my MLB The Show 24 franchise sim. Shohei Ohtani won about 4 or 5 straight MVPs, and in about 2027 the man to break his MVP streak was... Joey Wiemer. MLB the Show is such a realistic game. Tough start for James Wood going 0 for 5, I don't think hitting him leadoff is the right move. He should be in a 3 or 4 hole with a better chance to have guys on base for his at bat. The young star Brady House went yard and the Nationals have their first winning record since 18-17 last year.

So much to talk about this game idk if I can hit it all, but I'll start wuth my record predictions I said I'd do for every team.
Mets: 88-74
Pirates: 73-89
Skenes with a tough start to the season. Didn't even make it out the first inning. Allowed 5 earned runs. But did he really? Oneil Cruz made two horrendous plays- so bad he didn't even touch the ball to make it count as an error. 7 runs in the first inning, and exciting start to the season. And welcome to the Pirates, Brandon Lowe! 2 home runs in his first 2 at bats with Pittsburgh. Pirates have a solid young roster but I don't think they're at playoff level yet- need Bubba Chandler, Henry Davis, and more to develop.

THE RED SOX WIN LETS GOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! 1-0 ON THE SEASON! My GOAT Marcelo Mayer goes 2/2 including a double pinch hitting and then scores both of our first 2 runs! Ceddanne Rafaela knocked in the first one and then Trevor Story knocked in the next. Then Jarren Duran with a beautiful left on left hit to drive in Anthony, all made happen by Anthony’s ABS challenge. 21 years old and already has that plate discipline. Wow. Incredible game from him, I hope they start playing him against lefties soon though. Roman Anthony 3 for 4 with a walk and hit a ball so hard it hurt someone on their glove hand. Garrett Crochet an absolute DAWG! 6 innings, 0 runs, 8 K’s and got out of a bases loaded jam!!! Justin Slaten shuts em down in the seventh and Whitlock gets a HUGE strikeout on Eugenio Suarez to end the 8th. And of course, the best closer in the league, Aroldis Chapman shuts em DOWN in the 9th. YOURRRRR BOSTON RED SOX ARE UNDEFEATED IN 2026!

predicting every teams record
dbacks 81-81
LA 110-52
i keep forgetting Nolan Arenado is a D-Back now, but it was a forgettable debut for him going a mere 1-3. Not bad of course, i mean if he hit .333 all year he'd probably win MVP-but we'll see when he starts making a huge impact. The Diamondbacks need Zac Gallen to return to his Cy Young form if they want a chance to make the playoffs, especially surrounding the uncertainty of Corbin Burnes return, but he didn't look like that today, pitching 4 innings and allowing 4 runs while only striking out 2. On the winning end of debuts, Tucker went 1-4, drove in a run on his only hit and later scored. Yamamoto with a solid start to his season I expect him to be in CY talks all year long, but everyone is talking about Ohtani i really don't think he's the pitcher everyone thinks he is. Yamamoto is the Dodgers ace. Tanner Scott had a tough year last year with a 4.74 ERA and 10 blown saves, hoping to bounce back this year and started it off well.
