Fun to start the World Cup but South Africa was playing anxious all game. Over shooting most shots, downright dirty challenges, mental errors all game. And holy hell the energy from telemundos broadcast was so fun to experience 😂😂half the rating for them alone. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHUUUUUUUULLLLLLLL😂😂

What a game. Kovar had probably the game of his life but Korea just pressed and pressed. I swear most of the game felt like it was just on Czechia’s side of the pitch and to be fair with how solid they were on set pieces the heavy defense approach nearly worked. If it wasn’t for an offside by maybe 6 inches this would have been a draw but ending with a team getting 3 points is just better for the story if we’re being honest😂

Fun game but I missed most of the second half. I thought Bosnias defense was solid enough to pull through but Canada scored late to seal the draw. I’m telling you this Bosnia team can cause a big upset or two if given the chance and I will die on the hill that Canada is the most overrated team at the World Cup 😂

Mostly boring game that the Swiss dominated for 93 minutes until Qatar got an extra time header which was fun. But holy hell the sense of urgency after that goal for both teams but especially Qatar was ridiculous. I understand you are probably just happy with a draw and a point but you have some momentum there and should try and capitalize off of it. God just hair pulling

Great game. Morocco rose up to the challenge against the “higher” quality opponent for a solid draw that they had some chances to turn into 3 points instead 1 but damn this Morocco team is scary. I think Brazil is a bit overrated going into this World Cup but Vini looked scary as he’ll most of the game and it wouldn’t shock me if he single handedly leads this team deep. This teams hopes I feel ride and die with Vini

I completely forgot this game was happening last night and I woke up at like the 60th minute like “oh shit Aussies are up by 1”? But I could not be bothered to turn on the tv and watch the game😂😭from the highlights it looks like the Aussie GK had the game of his life and Turkey just couldn’t finish any of their chances. Good win for Australia and wow this makes Group D so interesting now

Wow. Absolutely game of the tournament so far. Japan is one of the most dangerous sleepers of the tournament and they showed how dangerous they can be. Kept it level at 0-0 going into half and didn’t give up when going down by a goal, they immediately got it together and scored again. And even when the Dutch scored just a few minutes later to go back ahead Japan didn’t lose focus and tied it up late. Fuck England, Brazil, Spain, and France. I’m all in on the likes of Japan, United States, Morocco, Mexico. Year of the underdog

That late goal to put Ivory Coast up was absolutely phenomenal. I’ll leave it at what ESPN left it at “the elephants are in dreamland”. I don’t really know what that means but this was a pretty big upset I would say

Only watched like the first 20 minutes. Sweden was just the better team all around and outclassed Tunisia. Also just saw Tunisia fired their coach so I wouldn’t expect too much from this team going forward. The Dutch and Japan have to smell blood in the water

Wow. Hats off to Cape Verde. 3 goal underdogs and not only get the draw but don’t allow a single point? Major kudos and this is something anyone from Cape Verde will be able to tell their grandchildren. These type of games are why the World Cup is so amazing. Going into today I didn’t expect shit from any of these games and game one down and for one country it’s an instant classic

I passed out about halfway through the second half but this game up until sleep depravation was so fun. Especially the first half just had the vibes of playing a game of fifa against the CPU and they keep pulling bullshit to draw it level. Fun game man

Amazing game through the first half and then Norway just put their foot on Iraq’s neck and tbh just snuffed them out. It’s scary that Haaland is so good he could single handily drag Norway to a deep run so that’s another factor in this World Cup being so goddamn intriguing. Maybe it’s recency bias but this WC already has the makings of being goated and holy fuck I’m so happy to be here to experience it with all yall from start to finish

And to keep up with this trend of the 2026 WC being absolutely unpredictable, one game after I make the call that Haaland with a Norway run could break Just Fontaine’s World Cup goal record with 2 today, Messi comes through with a hatty on a team that most people believe could make a deep run. Outside of an offside goal from Algeria that was taken off the board Argentina dominated the game and I feel like the story of the tournament for Argentina at this point is not only can they make a run at the World Cup, but can Messi break Fontaines record and cement himself as the goat with that record and back to back World Cup wins when he turns 39 in 8 days. God it’s so nice to be here to witness this

Amazing game from the Congo, especially with that goal to tie the game right at the end of extra time in the first half. but I think our Ronaldo questions have been answered: this team will only go as far as he will let them go. What is 41 year old Ronaldo doing out there for a full 90? Mf literally has no legs left and is just trotting lightly everywhere. They need to cut the dead weight as great as he his and as sad as it is to say

Ahh great game for about 80 minutes and then England pulled ahead by two. Absolute madness right before the half to go from 1-0 England to 2-2 and you have got to love chaos like that. I am growing to hate England more and more and I’m not sure if that’s from seeing English fans comments or just pride from the revolutionary war and saving their asses twice in the world wars. Either way SOCCER is coming truly home this year you bean eating street stabbers😂😂😂id say shots fired but it may get me stabbed in the streets of London 😂😂 yall have been saying “it’s coming home” longer than your father has been alive, the World Cup left to get milk and cigs and it ain’t ever coming back😂😂

The game was a lot closer than the score shows with Columbia burying a third right at the end of extra time. I’m not too big on Columbia this WC run but it feels like they could have played harder in this game. Great match to cap off week 1 of the group stage! Here we go boys!

For my money, best game against the best paired squads of the tournament so far. Such a fun game that honestly I wish could have went on into extras. I pray these teams can meet in the knockouts even though that’s probably VERY unlikely being in the same group. South Africa looked a lot better today but I feel like we all think South Korea is gonna beat them by like 2 next week and fuck man I am getting so hype and we are only in the group stage. Lfg and great goal by romo!

(Check out the articles😂) what a dominant performance by the US, I was worried about how we would look without Pulisic but wow we did not miss a beat. I was really pulling for an upset draw in this one. Brazil hasn’t looked great the past few years shockingly and after Haiti only lost 1-0 to Scotland I thought they might come into this game hot. I was dead wrong. Great game by Brazil and other than Raphina coming off injured in the first half, solid all around
